BEST WATERFRONT RESTAURANTS ON LONG ISLAND

At Competition Subaru, we are proud to support Paws of War, a Nesconset-based nonprofit dedicated to rescuing and caring for animals in need. Their latest mission has taken them to Los Angeles, where they are working relentlessly to aid pets and wildlife affected by the ongoing fires. Paws of War is making a direct impact by setting up feeding stations for displaced cats and dogs, providing pet oxygen masks to local fire departments, and collaborating with rescue groups to save animals in danger. To help reunite lost pets with their families, they have established a missing animal hotline and foster care networks for those temporarily without a home. Beyond immediate disaster relief, Paws of War is also transporting animals from overcrowded shelters to safe locations and coordinating resources to ensure they receive proper care. Their unwavering commitment has already saved countless lives and brought hope to affected families. In addition to their animal rescue efforts, Paws of War continues to support veterans by providing service animals, veterinary care, and essential resources to strengthen the bond between people and their pets. At Competition Subaru, we’re honored to stand behind Paws of War and their incredible mission. If you’d like to help, consider donating or volunteering to support their lifesaving work. Together, we can make a lasting impact on the lives of animals and those who love them. This November is National Homeless Awareness Month and here at Competition Subaru we want to do our part in making a difference to those who are in need. Since 2007, November has been dedicated to raising awareness for children and families dealing with homelessness and educating the public on ways to help end homelessness. They offer case management, drug and alcohol counseling, mental health counseling, linkages to benefits and resources in the community as well as the basics of food and shelter. Since 2007, November has been dedicated to raising awareness for people dealing with homelessness and educating the public on ways to help end homelessness. More than 500,000 Americans are experiencing homelessness and worry about staying warm as the nights grow colder. As we enter the season of giving and as nights get colder, we want to do our part in making a difference to those who need our help during National Homeless Awareness Month. Subaru Loves To Help The Subaru Loves To Help initiative is about supporting those who need it the most in our communities. Subaru of America and Subaru retailers are taking action by partnering with local homeless shelters to personally deliver water-resistant blankets and warm socks to help those in need. Last November, as part of Subaru Loves to Help, Subaru of America and its retailers provided 50,000 warm blankets to homeless shelters across the country. This year, Subaru and its retailers are doing it again to bring the total donation to 100,000 blankets to help those experiencing homelessness. In addition to more blankets, 50,000 pairs of socks will also be donated. Competition Subaru Proud To Support Pax Christi Hospitality Center Competition Subaru will be donating 80 blankets to the Pax Christi Hospitality Center. These blankets feature soft fleece on one side and waterproof material on the other, providing comfort and function for people who may be displaced. The Pax Christi Hospitality Center offers guests who are homeless a safe alternative to the streets. Pax Christi offers case management, drug and alcohol counseling, mental health counseling, linkages to benefits and resources in the community, as well as the basics of food and shelter. Over 50 active volunteers assist with cleaning, making beds, painting, serving meals, and providing food and clothing for guests. This gesture of kindness and warmth shows our support and compassion for those who find themselves without a roof over their heads this season and lets them know that someone is thinking of them.
