Competition Subaru's Subaru Loves Learning School Supply Drop-Off 2024

At Competition Auto Group, community engagement is at the core of our mission. This August, we were delighted to once again support Subaru Loves Learning Month, a nationwide initiative dedicated to advancing education and empowering students. Collaborating with Anthony Alfano Elementary School in Central Islip, Long Island, our local community worked effortlessly to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young learners.

Subaru Loves Learning Month emphasizes giving back to the community by prioritizing the importance of education. Throughout August, Competition Subaru of Smithtown humbly requested donations alongside our ongoing commitment to supporting the students and staff at Anthony Alfano Elementary School. A standout moment of this year’s initiative was our recent visit to the school, where we delivered a variety of supply kits to local students. From notebooks and pencils to art supplies and stationery, we provided essential materials that encourage creativity, critical thinking, and a lifelong love for learning.

Our visit to Anthony Alfano Elementary School allowed us to witness the direct impact of our contributions. By personally delivering these much-needed supplies, we were able to connect with the students and teachers in a meaningful way. The excitement and gratitude expressed by the local educational community reinforce the value of education and demonstrate the difference that a supportive community can make.

The success of Subaru Loves Learning Month was made possible thanks to the incredible support from our Competition Subaru customers and local community. Thank you, your contributions and enthusiasm directly aided in creating a positive future for the students of Anthony Alfano Elementary School here on Long Island. Together, we fostered an environment where every child feels valued, supported, and well-prepared for their educational journey.

We are immensely grateful for the continued success of Subaru Loves Learning Month and appreciate all those who contributed to our amazing local community. Thank you to everyone who visited, shared their kind words, and generously donated, making this month a success. By staying Long Island strong, we are driving positive change and shaping the future, one school, classroom, and student at a time.

#CompetitionCares: Meet Tim

Competition BMW of Smithtown and Competition Auto Group are wordlessly proud to have the continued opportunity to consistently serve Long Island, New York with consideration and care. Our auto group, Competition Automotive Group, is based on familiar foundations, a close-knitted atmosphere and flourishing relationships within our staff members and beloved community. We are honored to always aid our immediate home, Smithtown, Saint James and Lake Grove, as well as the entirety of Long Island, the tri-state area and the country! From hosting their first in-house events: the BMW i7 and BMW X7 Launch Event and the BMW Electric Showcase Event, to giving every employee a frozen turkey for Thanksgiving, to delivering gorgeous BMW vehicles to all Long Island residents and beyond! As 2023 leads us to 2024, Competition BMW of Smithtown and Competition Auto Group are excited to announce our philanthropy will continue strongly! Meet Tim Meet Tim. Tim is a local Long Island resident. Tim had been travelling around Long Island without a vehicle, or a license, for 9 years. Tim has been unable to drive for almost a full decade due to his need of a wheelchair-accessible van. Coincidentally, one of our dealership's Principal, Joe, was casually driving along the local Ronkonkoma, Blue Point and Ridge roads when fate led him to Tim. Tim was also enjoying the local Long Island area. Differing from Mr. Buzzetta, Tim was not traveling in a vehicle, he was taking strides in his remote wheelchair. As fate would have it, Joe had his father’s, and deceased founder’s, handicap-accessible 2020 Honda Odyssey van on hand. Competition Auto Group and Competition BMW are indescribably proud to donate Joe Buzzetta Sr.’s wheelchair-accessible van to Tim! Tim is so excited to gain back access to his license, and most importantly, a grander scale of independence! We cannot thank the Buzzetta family and their partners for coming together to recognize a persevering local Long Islander! Safest travels Tim, from everyone at Competition Automotive Group, we wish you the best!
