CAG Visits The Revs Institute In Naples

The Revs Institute in Naples, Florida, is more than just a museum—it’s a celebration of automotive history and the incredible stories behind iconic vehicles. Among its prestigious collection is the legendary 1967 Porsche 910/6, lovingly preserved as a tribute to its triumph at the 1967 Nürburgring 1000 km race, where Joe Buzzetta Sr. and Udo Schütz claimed a historic victory.

In a heartfelt visit, James Buzzetta and Jim Buzzetta recently had the opportunity to see this extraordinary piece of their family’s racing heritage. Standing beside the very car that Joe Buzzetta Sr. piloted to greatness, they reflected on the legacy of passion, determination, and excellence that continues to inspire them.

The Revs Institute offers more than a glimpse into automotive history—it’s a place where cherished memories and remarkable achievements come to life, connecting generations through a shared love of cars and racing.

CAG Celebrates St. James Day

We had an incredible time at this year’s St. James Day! It was truly a pleasure to connect with our local community, showcase our vehicles, and enjoy the festivities. We genuinely love meeting with our local neighbors, sharing great times together, and celebrating everything that makes our community special. Supporting Pink Aid Long Island

The Competition Auto Group was honored to support Pink Aid at their annual event, Pink Rocks Broadway, with a special donation from each store, and a prize in the Silent Auction from Genesis of Smithtown. Pink Aid is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing compassionate support to individuals battling breast cancer, by offering financial assistance, access to screening, and support services for patients and their families. We’re proud to help make a difference for those impacted by breast cancer and to contribute to such a meaningful cause!

Together, Competition Auto Group and our amazing customers have made a real difference. In 2024 alone, we planted an incredible 3,559 trees across the most needed areas in America!

Trunk or Treat

Halloween was extra spooky and fun at Competition Auto Group’s annual Trunk or Treat across our five stores! Families enjoyed decorated trunks, amazing costumes, and plenty of sweet treats, creating memories to last a lifetime. This event is always such a great time for everyone involved, bringing smiles and joy to our community. We’re proud to share that this is the 3rd year in a row that Competition Auto Group has hosted this festive celebration. Thank you to everyone who made this event such a success!

Thanksgiving Food Drive

Giving back is at the heart of what we do. Our partnership with the Smithtown Food Pantry for our annual Thanksgiving food drive brought in countless donations to help local families. Customers who donated items were entered into a raffle to win a $250 branded swag bag, and staff members at each store who donated were entered for a chance to win a $200 Amazon gift card as a thank you for contributing! We are so grateful for the opportunity to give back and support those in need during this special time of year. Thank you to our generous customers and staff for making a difference!

Turkey Day 2024

Every year, the Buzzetta family gives every Competition Auto Group Employee a turkey to start off the holidays taken care of! We are so grateful for this wholesome yearly tradition. Let the holiday season begin!

Toy Drive and Ej’s Pj’s Pajama Drive

This holiday season, the Competition Auto Group was proud to partner with Angels of Long Island for our annual Toy Drive, as well as with Ej’s Pj’s Pajama Drive for another year of keeping our communities warm! All of our stores did such an amazing job rounding up both toys, and cozy pajamas, for children to adults. We are so grateful to help out our local community and help everyone feel merry and bright!

Genesis of Smithtown kicked off the holiday season with our Black Friday Sales Event! Oktoberfest BBQ

We brought the festive vibes to Mercedes-Benz of Huntington with our Oktoberfest BBQ! Guests enjoyed delicious brats, burgers, pretzels, and more, paired with seasonal treats like root beer and beer cheese. A big thank you to the Buzzettas for making the day extra special! We’re so excited and grateful to be able to host events like these, bringing our community together for good times. We hope to continue hosting more fun events like this in the future! Prost!

Pet Adoption Event – Subaru Loves Pets

Our Pet Adoption Event was a heartwarming success! As part of the Subaru Loves Pets initiative, we teamed up with Pawsitive Possibilities Rescue, Inc. to help furry friends find their forever homes. We are proud to share that over 30 cats and dogs were adopted during this event, giving them a new chance at happiness. Thank you to everyone who donated, adopted, and joined us to support this amazing cause. Together, we’re making a difference!

Share the Love Event

From November 21st until January 2nd, with every new Subaru purchased or leased, Competition Subaru donated $350 to our customer’s choice of national charities. Plus, our dealership is proud to have contributed a minimum of $100 per vehicle in total between Stonybrook Children’s Hospital and Paws of War, two incredible local organizations making a difference.

But that’s not all! For every routine service visit during the event, we donated $5 to our hometown charities.

From Up In Smoke BBQ’s mouthwatering catering to the fun tailgate vibes, it was a day filled with excitement, innovation, and community spirit. It was amazing to see the community come together to embrace the future and endless possibilities that electric transportation brings. Celebrating 55 Years at Mercedes-Benz of Smithtown

What a milestone! We recently celebrated 55 amazing years of serving our community with a special luncheon at the dealership. It was a day of gratitude, filled with delicious food from Taco Island Mexican Cantina, icees from Kona Ice of Ronkonkoma, and memories shared by staff, loyal customers, and friends. Reflecting on our journey, we couldn’t be prouder of the relationships we’ve built and the legacy of excellence we continue to uphold. We’re so grateful to be able to hold events like this and celebrate with the people who have supported us along the way. Cheers to 55 more years of making automotive dreams come true.
