How Does Mercedes-Benz of Huntington Compare the 2024 Mercedes-Benz CLE Coupe to the C-Class and E-Class?

Mercedes-Benz has entered the playing field with another home-run! Following the unveiling of the 2024 CLE Coupe earlier this month, the 2024 Mercedes-Benz CLE, the sporty new addition to the Mercedes-Benz lineup, is set to replace the two discontinued C-Class Coupe, and E-Class Coupe vehicles, coming early 2024. The Mercedes-Benz CLE Coupe will be available in both Cabriolet and Coupe variations. The size of this new vehicle is longer than the current C-Class models, and roughly the same, if not slightly longer, than the preceding E-Class Coupe. Although it may be longer than both the Mercedes-Benz C-Class and Mercedes-Benz E-Class, the width is the same as the current Mercedes-Benz E-Class. The more you know! For those searching for specific numbers, the Mercedes-Benz CLE is 191″ in length, and 73.2″ in width and has a 112.8″ wheelbase! According to Mercedes-Benz USA, the new CLE coupe will have more cabin space than the C-Class Coupe. Rear passengers will have 2.2″ of additional legroom, and the Mercedes-Benz CLE will have enough space in the trunk to hold three golf bags, in case you wanted to swing by the Huntington, NY and Cold Spring Harbor, NY area to show off your sweet new CLE when playing a few holes at the Huntington Crescent Club! The base level from Mercedes-Benz will be the Mercedes-Benz CLE 300. This model has a turbocharged 2.0L I4 engine, with 255 horses and 295 pound-ft of torque through its impressive 9-Speed Automatic transmission. This is about the same exact engine that is found within the Mercedes-Benz C 300 and Mercedes-Benz E 350 Sedans that drivers all over Long Island know and love.  The Mercedes-Benz CLE 450 variant will include an impressive M256 engine, also found in the Mercedes-Benz E 450 Sedan. This pump of power gives the CLE 450 model a 3.0L I6 (inline-six) engine that churns out 375 horses and 369 pound-feet of torque.  Both vehicles have an integrated starter-generator for it’s 48 V electrical system, providing 23 HP and 148 pound-feet of torque BOOST! Both the Mercedes-Benz CLE 300, and Mercedes-Benz CLE 450 will be four-wheel drive, tread adventurously, this vehicle could be your picture-perfect daily driver from Centereach, Commack, Brookhaven, Kings Park East Setauket and beyond!

The outside of the 2024 CLE Coupe contains elements from both the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, as well as the Mercedes-Benz E-Class. It’s two-door design and rocket-like shape gives it its sporty appearance that we all know from the iconic Mercedes-Benz coupes. The styling selections, such as the innovative LED headlights, sleek flowing lines, and shiny chrome accenting lets bystanders know that the Mercedes-Benz CLE is both classy and serious.  The interior of this newcomer will be reminiscent of the current 2023 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Sedan with it’s impressive 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and 11.9-inch central touchscreen! The Mercedes-Benz CLE Coupe will be the second vehicle with the new electronic architecture and the third generation of the MBUX infotainment system. As you may have read about in Mercedes-Benz of Huntington’s more recent blog posts, the Mercedes-Benz line-up is becoming increasingly more technologically innovative and intelligent with the new addition of AI. You can read more here, but in the Mercedes-Benz CLE, the AI will be utilized to learn which systems drivers use at specific times and will start to suggest them to you automatically as it learns! The AI system will take into account many factors such as:

• Navigation
• Climate Control Settings
• A Phone Number that may be dialed daily around a certain time
• Suggestions for a To-Do list

Mercedes-Benz is calling this “Magic Module”. This ties in to the new Mercedes-Benz CLE “Templates” that will be included within the coupe. With options such as “Cold Day”, turn on your heated seats, turn the ambient lighting a warming, amber orange color, and customize your coupe to be the perfect climate for you!  Drivers additionally have the option to set “Self-Created Routines”, which utilizes specific conditions to activate certain elements. Mercedes-Benz has given an example:

“If the interior temperature is below twelve degrees Celsius, switch on the seat heating and set the ambient lighting to warm orange”

Other new technical features include an upgraded sound system, new display, and the ability to download apps! Download TikTok, Angry Birds, Webex, and Zoom to entertain your guests while getting to your plans! Listen up Burmester lovers, do not be nervous, this coupe will have the iconic Burmester 3D Surround Sound System implemented, but will also have Dolby Atmos built into the headrests for an extra deep listening experience. Doubling back to the display, the Mercedes-Benz CLE Coupe has more of a minimalistic look with an “app” icon redesign.
